Danny Brain - Brainwaves - has  just completed repairs to my Trimaran outer hull; damaged when it came off  the mooring in Feb 2026. Two thirds of the 20ft length of the hull was damaged by pressure cracks, gouges , scuffs etc. A pitiful sight.
Having cut a large section out and  rebuilt the area - Danny has done a truly excellent repair, In a harsh sunlight there is not a blemish to be seen and the 20ft line of the hull is straight and true. Have a look at the website for photos. Danny was very helpful in talking me through the steps and was highly efficient and careful  over the 4/5 day task Thank you Danny for an excellent job.

Can You Match the Existing Gelcoat Colour?

Yes. Gelcoat colour matching is one of our specialist services. We carefully match the existing gelcoat colour and finish to achieve a seamless, professional repair that blends naturally with the surrounding surface. Our aim is to make the repair as close to invisible as possible.

Do You Carry Out Structural Fibreglass Repairs?

Yes. We specialise in both cosmetic and structural GRP/fibreglass repairs, including impact damage, cracks, delamination, core replacement and damaged laminate reconstruction. We use proven repair techniques and quality materials to restore the strength and integrity of the affected area.

Do You Travel to the Boat?

Yes. BrainWaves GRP offers a fully mobile repair service, allowing us to carry out most repairs directly at your boat’s marina, boatyard or storage location. This provides a convenient, flexible service without the need to transport your vessel to a workshop.

Can I Send Photographs for a Quote?

Absolutely. You can send us photographs of the damaged area by email or WhatsApp, along with a brief description of the repair and your boat’s location. We can often provide an initial estimate from photographs, although larger or more complex structural repairs may require an on-site inspection before a final quotation is provided.
